Planejamento estratégico do programa

The strategic planning of the PPGCC is based on a constant search for improvement and keeping up-to-date given the changes in the graduate studies environment, always in compliance with the multi-year plans of the Department of Accounting and Actuarial Studies of FEA-USP and the University of São Paulo. For example, the Academic Project of the Department of Accounting and Actuarial Studies, in effect from 2018 to 2022, presents findings and challenges in relation to the PPGCC and establishes goals and specific actions for each goal to be implemented in the period. Such objectives include:

  • Strengthening the program’s internationalization;
  • Expanding the education of masters and doctors in Controllership and Accounting through special programs;
  • Supporting all the professors associated with the PPGCC in preparing and submitting projects to funding agencies in Brazil and abroad;
  • Maintaining the PPGCC’s levels of excellence;
  • Attracting talented students to the program.

The abovementioned objectives are consistent with the Academic Project of FEA-USP (2018-2022), whose strategic goal is “to provide a graduate course with a level of excellence, developing masters, doctors, and post-doctors with a leadership profile and protagonism in the national and international environment.” The plan includes several goals and indicators to be monitored in the period.

It should be noted that the individual academic projects of all the professors of the PPGCC have been approved for the 2018-2022 period. These involve objectives, goals, and actions relating to their teaching, research, and non-degree course activities, always in line with institutional planning at its various levels.

To support the strategic planning process of the PPGCC, every year we perform a formal self-assessment process coordinated by the Pro-rectorate for Graduate Studies of USP, involving a calendar of meetings and the completion of questionnaires evaluated and reviewed by peers, all of whom are professors and leaders associated with the university or from outside it.
