Graduate Studies System - Janus

Janus is the academic system of the USP Graduate Program. It combines information on the programs, staff, and students. The Janus system is used for course registration, follow-up registration, and consulting the catalog of courses, courses offered in the period, and the student’s record/academic transcript. The system also provides information on the deadlines for completing each stage (qualification and defense), in addition to issuing documents, such as registration certificates and course completion certificates.

Please access and select “create unique password” to enroll with your USP number. ATTENTION: be sure to provide an email in the on-site registration, as it is required to create the unique password. If any error occurs in your initial registration, please contact the FEA Graduate Studies Office, 2nd floor of building FEA-05, room 213.

USP card and e-card

Smart cards must be requested by the students through the Janus system. Please access USP Cards in the Janus system, order the card, and upload the photo with a white background. The FEA Graduate Studies Office will be responsible for authorizing the card. After authorization is sent to the USP IT Department, the card will take approximately 30 days to be made. After that period, the student should pick it up at the Graduate Studies Office, on the 2nd floor of building FEA-05, room 213.

The e-card app is available on PlayStore and AppStore and can be obtained immediately after authorization to print the card and used before the student receives it.

To access the USPNet/eduroam network, interested parties should access and create a password using their USP number. The USP campuses have wireless broadband internet access at various points, such as amphitheaters, auditoriums, libraries, leisure areas, and others. These locations are appropriately identified.

VPN Service

The VPN (virtual private network) service provides connectivity to the USP network from any computer connected to the internet. The VPN service allows access to USP databases and journals.

Residence Service

USP offers to students coming from other cities and with a low income residence within the University Campus, in the USP Residential Complex (CRUSP). It consists of seven blocks, two of which are intended for graduate students. As the number of places is lower than the demand, residents are chosen according to socioeconomic criteria. The number of places depends on the number of former residents leaving CRUSP.

To participate in resident selection or receive support students should follow the timeline on the SAS website in Student Support>Graduate Studies. Scholarships for graduate studies students last up to three years for master’s degree students and four years for doctor’s degree students and are also renewable annually.
