 ABSTRACT*

Strategy-oriented corporate real estate (CRE) management is a one-of-a-kind challenge. The complexity of CRE management and all of its variables requires a very specific intelligence that is to be used for positive business results. In the healthcare industry, one has to add a large number of specific codes and standards to comply with throughout the processes. In this context, the objective is to analyze the impact of information management on corporate real estate administration, with a focus on the clinical laboratories industry.  For this purpose, a wide variety of concepts are reviewed and integrated into an asset lifecycle information management model. This model incorporates the concept of accountability. To illustrate this endeavor, a case study is presented: the Fleury laboratories. Based on the literature review and the case study, it is concluded that CRE information management is absolutely relevant in achieving organizational goals. New possibilities in data administration are proposed with a view to supporting better decisions.
